Denna vackra söndag gjorde vi en utflykt till Mariefred och Gripsholms slott, på Mälarens södra sida. Slottet, som började byggas för 450 år sedan och sedan har moderniserats i omgångar, är riktigt imponerande. Dessutom finns Statens porträttsamling här, 800 porträtt av kända svenskar från 1500-talet till idag. Tyvärr får man inte fotografera inne i slottet.
This beautiful Sunday we made an excursion to Mariefred and Gripsholm's Castle, at the south side of lake Mälaren. The castle, on which work began 450 years ago, and after that has been modernized from time to time, is quite imposing. Also it contains the National Portrait Gallery, 800 portraits of famous Swedes from the 1600th century up til now. Unfortunately photographing is forbidden inside the castle.
