Katten Fido har flyttat in/Fido the Cat has moved in

Det norrländska hemmet har fått tillökning. Katten Fido klev in efter en låååång bilresa och tog över lokaliteterna. Nu väntar vi bara på att han ska börja jobba för maten. Eller – egentligen är ju jobbet att fånga maten.

The northern home has had an addition to the family. Fido the Cat walked in after a loooong cartrip and took over the premises. Now we're just waiting for him to start working for the food. Or – actually the work is to catch the food.

Lycklig i solen/Happy in the sun

I en helt oomskött rabatt intill huset finner vi denna glada planta. Solen får allt att lysa upp. Synd bara att just denna rabatt kommer att läggas under betong så småningom om planerna går i lås. Men den kan säkert återuppstå någon annanstans i närheten.

In a totally unattended flowerbed by the house we find this happy plant. The sun makes everything shine. It's just too bad that this very flowerbed will be covered with concrete in due time if plans work out. But it surely can rise again somewhere else close by.

Utemöblerna får sitt/The outdoor furniture gets it

I helgen fick utemöblerna en efterlängtad målning. Inte bara olja utan skyddande färg. Nu ser de nästan ut som teak. Se skillnaden mellan den omålade närmast till vänster och de andra.

The past weekend the outdoor got a longed for painting. Not only oil but protective paint. Now they almost look like teak wood. See the difference between the unpainted one closest to the left and the others.

En dag på stan 16/A day in the city 16

I storstaden kan man hamna på höga positioner, även rent fysiskt. Här är några som ser ner på oss som går till jobbet dessa dagar.

I the big city you can end up in high positions, physically too. Here are some that look down at us who walk to work these days.

Vår på riktigt/Spring for real

Det här var den 10 maj (har bara inte hunnit uppdatera denna blogg) och redan då fylldes luften med vår och Tegnérlunden med tulpaner. Hade detta varit på 1600-talet hade vi haft upplopp i stan.

This was the 10th of May (just haven't had the time to update this blog) and already then the air was filled with spring and the Tegnérlunden park with tulips. Had this been in the 1700th centure we would have had riots in the city.

Soffkompis/Couch buddy

Tv-soffkonstellationen har ändrats. Katten Fido har tagit över husets herres sida. Fast... katten Fido är troligen husets herre. Han har åtminstone två hushåll i huset som slavar för honom.

The tv-couch constellation has changed. Fido the Cat has taken over the lord of the house's side. Though... Fido the Cat probably is the lord of the house. He has at least two households in the house that slave for him.

Blomning/Flowering season

Vi hade vår, nästan sommar. Och så plötsligt blev det vinter igen. Inte så roligt för den som har vinterkläderna 50 mil norrut. Men nu börjar det ordna sig, körsbärsträden blommar i förorten och väderprognosen säger sommarvärme om några dagar.

We had spring, almost summer. And suddenly it was winter again. Not that fun for the one whose winter clothes are stored 500 kilometers up north. But now it’s beginning to settle, the cherrie trees are blooming in the suburb and the weather prognosis says summer heat in a few days.

Projekt/Project

Snart är tyresösagan all. Men fortfarande går det att använda lokalerna till olika projekt. T ex målning av köksbord till lägenheten. Detta uppochnedvända gulliga lilla bord (eller dess ägare) hade aldrig tänkt att det kunde bli svart. Kommer att passa perfekt i köket.

Soon the Tyresö tale is over. But it’s still possible to use the premises for different projects. For example painting a kitchen table for the apartment. This up-side-down sweet little table (or its owner) never would have thought of it turning black. Will fit in perfectly in the kitchen.
