En liten båttur/A short boattrip

På söndagen – efter sovmorgon – tog vi en liten sväng med båten på Ångermanälven och ut mot Höga Kusten. Jonas, Antonia och Kristin hade svårt att hålla anletena på plats i blåsten.
On Sunday – after sleeping in – we took a short turn with the boat on the river Ångemanälven and out towards the High Coast. Jonas, Antonia and Kristin had a problem keeping their countenances in place in the wind.

160-årsfest/160 year birthday party

På lördagen höll vi en rejäl fest för Britt och John som bägge fyller 80 i år. Antonia och Kristin var bland de första att gratulera. Nära 30 personer deltog i festen.
On Saturday we threw a grand party for Britt and John who both turn 80 this year. Antonia and Kristin were among the first to congratulate. Almost 30 people joined the party.

Änder på besök/Visiting mallards

En hel familj med gräsänder upptäckte att det vankades bröd vid stugan. De var helt orädda.
A whole family of mallards discovered they could have some bread by the cottage. They were totally fearless.

Punktering/flat tire

Vi bodde i Britts och Johns stuga över förra helgen och lyckades skaffa oss punktering mitt ute i ingenting. Antonia hjälpte till med domkraften vid däcksbytet.
We stayed in Britt’s and John’s cottage over the last weekend and managed to get ourselves a flat tire in the middle of nowhere. Antonia helped with the jack at the change of tires.

Äntligen! Ett trappräcke!/At last! Staircase banisters!

Efter sju sorger och åtta bedrövelser har vi äntligen ställt vårt trappräcke på plats. Det tog några år men nu är det där!

After much trial and tribulation we have eventually put our banisters in place. It took a couple of years but now it's there!
